Some more happy news during this strange time!

Thomson Reuters has agreed to help support Ontario lawyers with their remote work during the COVID-19 crisis. Thomson Reuters alongside the LIRN network of courthouse law libraries is providing all Ontario licensees of the Law Society complete remote access to Westlaw and an online ProView Library of legal texts and looseleaf equivalents covering the practice areas most important to you.

  1. I am a retired Barrister and for no reason of my own I am now a SRL.

Do you grant me and all other SRLs free
    Access also ?

Access to Justice – level playing field – or more skewing of Justice?

    1. Hi Michael, We’re afraid you’d have to discuss that further with Thomson Reuters directly! This offer has been made to the entire province, so we did not have any involvement in the terms.

      1. Thank you for your prompt reply

Might I impose upon you to pass my
query to them with my email for reply to
        all of us.

All SRLs will be most inquisitive.

You are best able to address this issue as
you have the relationship with them.

        Respectfully

        1. Thanks Brenda. Erred sentry originating message – my follow on request asking you to forward for answer to all SRLs

          Thank you.

          1. Hi Michael, As mentioned we didn’t have any hand in negotiating this so we don’t have any contacts, as it was done on a provincial level. I’d recommend contacting the National SRL project: https://representingyourselfcanada.com/ , as they might have more resources available and are better positioned to address something like this.
